The majority of folks find themselves sitting in front of a computer all day. They then wonder why they have pain in their shoulders. When this can in fact be prevented when using ergonomic seats then they live on pain killers to reduce pain. You are now able to spend more hours in front of the computer and never having to deal with back pain and continuous straining of your neck, when sitting on an ergonomic chair. Abbreviations - If you"re audited, don"t count on a chiropractor reviewing your records who will understand what "PRL" or "ASRA" or even "Sublux" means. For that matter, even a non-chiropractor may have difficulty with nonspecific abbreviations like "PT." Did you send the patient for part-time or Physical Therapy work? The auditor is not going to try to translate your abbreviations, particularly if there isn"t a key present that clarifies new patients. A great SOAP note with one abbreviation that is unidentifiable can cause you to fail your audit. So, make sure that you are spelling it out clearly (another advantage to EMR, push the button and the word comes out!) or that you supply a key that certainly interprets all your abbreviations.
There"s no secret that when there"s a gain in the amount of patients in your practice, you will earn more money. The problem is attempting to get more folks to come to your clinic or practice. The market does have something related to the number of people who come to yourself, unless the people have health insurance that covers chiropractic. Otherwise, people are just busy working they don"t have the time to quit and see yourself for treatment or an adjustment. If that is your difficulty, you should learn to just how to get more patients. It is really about marketing for chiropractors that will get yourself where you would like to be.
